Jack Pichotta has had an illustrious career as an educator and policy influencer in his home state of Minnesota. In 1970, in Cloquet, Minnesota while working as a social studies teacher Jack worked with his students to organize a week-long event called SCARE (Students Concerned About a Ravaged Environment) dedicated to learning about the environment and human impact on it. In 1971, he established Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center. He now lives in Hermantown, MN with his wife Genea where he spends time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as his garden.
